According to preserved records, at the beginning of the 20th century, volunteer fire societies operated in the settlements of Ulla and Beshenkovichi – the center of the Lepel district.

On September 16, 1821, an excursion of members of the Vitebsk Archival Commission was held in the settlement of Beshenkovichi. A play "In the Courtyard in the Outbuilding" was staged for them. At the entrance, the local volunteer fire brigade lined up with torches to greet them, attracting attention with their dashing bearing.

The fire station building was located near the market. Duty was carried out by a watchman on the tower around the clock.

In 1960, the city fire brigade was reorganized into a professional fire department for the protection of the urban-type settlement of Beshenkovichi.

In pursuance of the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated May 6, 1993, No. 292 "On the Establishment of the Militarized Fire Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs," on June 2, 1994, by order of the UVPS of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee No. 37 l/s, the staff of the militarized fire department in the urban-type settlement of Beshenkovichi began to be approved.

In 1994, the fire station building was moved to Uritsky Street in the urban-type settlement of Beshenkovichi.

In December 1994, the militarization of the VPP of the urban-type settlement of Ulla was carried out.

In pursuance of the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On the Collection for the Maintenance of the Fire Service" and the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated February 3, 1995, No. 72 "On the Establishment of the State Fire Service in Rural Areas and at Enterprises in Cities," during the first stage of militarization in August 1995, based on the existing support points of the MOPPO, OPS VFS were created in the villages of Mamoiki, Sinitsy, Verkhovye with a staff of 8 people each, and in November 1995, during the second stage of militarization, OPS VFS were created in the villages of Bocheikovo and Ostrovno.

On December 9, 1996, by order of the GUVPPS No. 016, a VFS detachment of the urban-type settlement of Beshenkovichi and the Beshenkovichi district of the UVPS GUVPPS of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus was created in the Beshenkovichi district.

On April 26, 2000, by order of the UMES No. 69, the OVPS of the urban-type settlement of Beshenkovichi and the Beshenkovichi district was renamed into the PASO of the urban-type settlement of Beshenkovichi and the Beshenkovichi district of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus.

On July 27, 2001, by order of the UMES No. 03, the Beshenkovichi District Department for Emergency Situations of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus was created.
