– Our region is widely represented at the People's Assembly by representatives of all social strata and age groups of the population. The slogan of the seventh All-Belarusian People's Assembly is: "Time has chosen us." The historical significance of the moment is determined not only by the new status, functions, and powers, but also by the new model of political development, which has enhanced your competencies as deputies, as representatives of the people at the local level, – addressed the attendees the head of the delegation from the Vitebsk region to the People's Assembly, Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin.

At this important stage of completing the five-year plan and preparing for the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, it is necessary to discuss the results of the socio-economic development of the region, the main strategic directions for the next five-year period, to determine what has been done, what needs more work, and what deserves attention, so that the ultimate outcome is the improvement of the lives of the region's and the country's residents, emphasized Alexander Subbotin.

– Gathering delegates here on the eve of the People's Assembly to discuss the realities and prospects of the region we will represent is important so that we are not indifferent later, but organically integrate into the discussion of the country's development concept. So that it turns out to be realistic, vibrant, and effective, – stressed the head of the regional administration.

The report on the People's Assembly as the highest representative body of people's power was delivered by the General Director of UP "Vitebskoblgaz," a member of the Presidium of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, Alexander Brantsevich.

Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Anzhelika Nikitina analyzed the results of the socio-economic development of the Vitebsk region in 2021-2025 and reported on the prospects for the strategic development of the region for 2026-2030.

"VV" Reference. The VNS, in its new constitutional status, will be held for the second time (a total of seven meetings have been held). The Constitution assigns a strategic role to the All-Belarusian People's Assembly in the comprehensive protection of our country's sovereignty. The agenda of the upcoming meeting includes the annual Address of the President to the Belarusian people and parliament, a report by the Prime Minister on the implementation of the country's socio-economic development programs, discussion of the organizational structure of the VNS, and others. In addition, the All-Belarusian People's Assembly will, for the first time, make a number of personnel decisions.
