The building housing the art school is a historical and cultural asset. It is an architectural monument built in the late 17th and early 18th centuries, located in the city center, and serves as a tourist and socially significant object. Napoleon, Peter I, and Alexander I once stayed here. The palace, built in the early classicism style, was constructed by the Ogiński family and Count I. Chreptowicz. The last owner of this building was Count K. A. Chreptowicz-Butenev – an educator, publicist, and educated man.
