Algorithm for Assisting Stroke Survivors and Their Relatives

1. Medical professionals sign an informed consent form with the relatives of the stroke survivor for the transfer of information to the State Institution "Territorial Center for Social Services of the Population of Beshenkovichi District" (hereinafter – TCSS) and transmit the data to the TCSS.

2. A TCSS specialist contacts the relatives of the stroke survivor and offers all types of assistance.

3. 1. On a gratuitous basis, the following types of assistance may be provided to non-working incapacitated citizens aged 60 and over, disabled persons of groups I and II who are entitled to a state pension, have medical indications and no medical contraindications, and have suffered a stroke:

provision of technical means of social rehabilitation through rental points;

as well as:

day care service. This service is provided by the day care department for elderly citizens on working days from 8:00 to 17:00.

4.1. On a compensatory basis, the following types of assistance may be provided to non-working incapacitated citizens aged 60 and over, disabled persons of groups I and II who are entitled to a state pension, with medical indications and/or no medical contraindications for the provision of social services, and who have suffered a stroke:

day care service for elderly citizens in an inpatient setting. This service is provided by the 24-hour care department for elderly citizens and disabled persons.

5. For relatives of a stroke survivor, socio-pedagogical assistance may be offered, provided by volunteers.

6. The TCSS informs the public about the possibility of receiving assistance through mass media, the TCSS website and stand, and brochures.
