Hourly Childcare Services (Nanny Services)

A nanny from the home social assistance department provides assistance:

·         in caring for a disabled child (disabled children) for families raising disabled children (no more than 20 hours per week until the child reaches the age of 18);

·         in caring for children for families raising two children born simultaneously (no more than 20 hours per week until the children reach the age of 3);

·         in caring for children for families raising three or more children born simultaneously (no more than 40 hours per week until the children reach the age of 3);

·         in caring for a child (children) for families in which both parents — mother (stepmother), father (stepfather) — or the parent in a single-parent family are disabled persons of group I or II.

Hourly childcare services (nanny services) are provided based on the List of Free and Publicly Available Social Services of State Social Service Institutions with Norms and Standards for the Provision of These Services to Citizens, approved by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 1218 of December 27, 2012.

Reasons why hourly childcare services (nanny services) are not provided:

·         the child (disabled child) receives basic or special education in educational institutions (with the exception of home-based education);

·         the disabled child receives basic or special education in educational institutions, and additional education for children and youth – at home;

·         the family receives services in the form of semi-stationary social services, as well as social respite services;

·         care for a disabled child (disabled children) with the receipt of a disability care allowance is provided by another person who is not a parent (mother (stepmother), father (stepfather), legal representative.

Hourly childcare services (nanny services) are provided free of charge.

The following documents are required to provide hourly childcare services (nanny services):

• identity document;
• child's birth certificate(s);
• disability certificate — for families raising a disabled child (disabled children), and families in which parents (parent) are disabled;
• certificate stating that the citizen is a student with additional information about home-based education — for disabled children studying in an educational institution with home-based education;
• written application;

Employees of the territorial center, within three working days from the date of application, conduct an examination of the citizen's material and living conditions with the drawing up of an act determining individual need for social services.

The decision to conclude a social services agreement is made by the head of the territorial center within 5 working days after receiving the last document (information) required for the provision of social services.
