Joint Prevention Efforts in Beshenkovichi As part of preventing fires in residential buildings and deaths resulting from them, employees of the Beshenkovichi District Department for Emergency Situations, together with inspection commissions, are conducting daily prevention activities.
Thus, employees of the Beshenkovichi District Department for Emergency Situations, together with other interested prevention entities forming part of the inspection commission, visited households of citizens requiring attention regarding fire safety.
This category includes single and lonely elderly citizens, disabled individuals, as well as persons leading an antisocial lifestyle.
During household visits, special attention was paid to the condition of stove heating, electrical networks, gas equipment, as well as the condition of adjacent territories (tidiness of household plots).
Homeowners were instructed on the necessity of observing fire safety rules in everyday life, and were recommended to equip the living rooms of their households with autonomous fire detectors. Assistance was provided in rectifying violations that do not require significant time or financial costs (replacement of power elements in fire detectors). The main causes of fires were communicated, and examples of fires with fatalities that occurred this year in the Beshenkovichi district were presented.
Due to the prolonged absence of precipitation in the district and the prevailing fire hazard situation, citizens were reminded of the ban on visiting forests within the district, as well as the need to comply with fire safety requirements when making fires, including for cooking (barbecues).
