Rescuers Conducted Preventive Measures "House Without Fire" in Ull Rural Council

Due to the current operational situation, including an increase in the number of fire fatalities in the Beshenkovichi district in 2025 and a tendency for an increase in fires at the beginning of 2026 in the Republic of Belarus, employees of the Beshenkovichi District Department for Emergency Situations conducted special preventive measures "House Without Fire" in the Ull rural council. The campaign runs from January 19 to January 24, 2026.

The main focus during the campaign is on the households of vulnerable citizens. Statistics show that people with bad habits are often both the perpetrators and victims of fires. Often, "accidental" citizens also become victims, finding themselves hostages to the situation due to neighbors leading an antisocial lifestyle.

As part of the first days of the campaign, representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations visited and inspected more than 50 households in the Ull rural council.

During the raids, characteristic violations were identified:

· Lack of whitewashing on chimneys, which makes visual detection of cracks difficult.
· Malfunctioning latches on stove doors.
· Non-compliance with the size of metal hearth plates.
· Violation of the rules for operating stove heating in both houses and outbuildings.

"Every identified violation is a potential source of fire. We do not just record shortcomings, but give owners clear instructions on how to eliminate them and explain the consequences of negligence," notes Deputy Head Chaplinsky Pavel Gennadievich.

In addition to door-to-door visits, a "safety route" was organized along the route of mobile shops in the territory of the Ullsky rural council. During conversations with the population, rescuers focused on compliance with fire safety rules during the winter period.

An important part of the campaign was targeted assistance to single elderly citizens. Rescuers not only conducted briefings but also helped with the installation of autonomous fire alarms (APIs). This device allows detecting a fire at the earliest stage, warning people about it, and thus helping to avoid tragedy.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds: compliance with fire safety rules is the key to preserving your life and health and that of your loved ones. In case of fire or smoke detection, call 101 or 112 immediately.

Preventive work within the framework of the "House Without Fire" campaign continues.
