Waste Incineration Prohibited!

The Beshenkovichi District Inspectorate for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection draws attention to the fact that, in accordance with legislation, the following is prohibited:

the incineration of non-fuel substances or mixtures of substances, materials, and waste is prohibited, except when incineration is carried out using special devices and in compliance with environmental protection legislation, including waste management;

the incineration of municipal waste by the population, with the exception of parts of removed tree trunks, stump root wood, and plant waste on land plots owned by citizens by right of ownership or other legal grounds, in compliance with fire safety requirements.

Violation of these requirements entails administrative liability under Part 3 of Article 16.44 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus in the form of a fine of up to thirty basic units for individuals, up to one hundred basic units for individual entrepreneurs, and up to one thousand basic units for legal entities, as well as compensation for damage caused to the environment.
