Losing vigilance...

The Beshenkovichi District Prosecutor's Office conducted a monitoring of the compliance by economic entities of the Beshenkovichi District with the requirements of Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 1 of March 11, 2004 "On measures to strengthen public safety and discipline" (hereinafter - Directive No. 1), during which buildings and structures related to potentially dangerous objects and places for minors in the Beshenkovichi District were inspected.

The requirements of paragraph 3 of Directive No. 1 oblige owners (organizations operating and managing property) of unused capital structures, buildings, and facilities to take measures to restrict access of unauthorized persons to these structures.

According to the monitoring results, it was established that some economic entities in the district are not properly fulfilling the requirements of the legislation on ensuring public safety.

Thus, during the inspection of the unused buildings of a two-story house and a rural council, located on Tsentralnaya Street in the village of Rubezh, it was found that individual elements of structures and ceilings inside these buildings are in an emergency state, however, there is free access to all premises of the abandoned objects, which poses a threat to the life and health of citizens. In addition, the premises are cluttered with household waste, construction debris, and are in an unsanitary condition. The building of the former club, located near the feldsher-midwife station in the village of Rubezh, also requires conservation measures, as there is free access to all its premises, and the adjacent land plot is not landscaped.

It should be noted that these buildings, according to sub-paragraph 3.4 of paragraph 3 of the List, are classified as potentially dangerous objects and places for minors in the Beshenkovichi District, and therefore their obvious emergency state requires increased attention from the balance holders to prevent emergencies and injuries to minors.

Based on the monitoring results, orders were issued to the Chairman of the Verkhnekrivinsky Rural Executive Committee and the head of CJSC "ASB Agro-Novator" with demands to take immediate measures to eliminate violations of Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 1 of March 11, 2004 "On measures to strengthen public safety and discipline" and to bring unused emergency buildings into proper condition.
