"Thin Ice": Rescuers Conducted Raids on Water Bodies in the District
Employees of the District Department for Emergency Situations, representatives of the district organization of OSVOD, and specialists from the diving and rescue service of PASO "Vityaz" went on ice reconnaissance. The rescuers focused on three water bodies popular with the public: Lake Soro, Lake Beloye, and Lake Gorodno.
Specialists assessed the condition of the ice cover and also held conversations with those they encountered near the water. The main topic of discussion was the current ban on going out on the ice during the spring period. 15 people were instructed today alone.
"Spring ice is deceptive and treacherous. Going out on it during this period is strictly prohibited! It may look solid on the outside, but it has already become loose and porous inside. Even if the surface appears reliable visually, it may not withstand a person's weight. Neglecting safety rules can cost a life," emphasized the Beshenkovichi District Department for Emergency Situations.
Dear residents of the Beshenkovichi District! Spring ice does not forgive carelessness. Talk to your children: ice on water bodies is not a place for games. Do not leave minors unsupervised near water.
