The traditional August conference of pedagogical workers took place in Beshenkovichi
Traditionally, a large-scale event for the district's pedagogical community is held annually in August – the August conference, which gathered a large number of participants and guests this year. The event took place in an atmosphere of constructive discussion of key aspects of educational policy and practical experience gained over the previous academic year.
The theme of the current forum was the motto: "Course for a successful academic year: from analyzing the quality of education to action," reflecting the strategic directions for the modernization of the regional education system.
Among the invited guests were the Chairperson of the District Executive Committee Galina Unukovich, the Chairperson of the District Council of Deputies Gennady Shvedov, the Deputy Chairperson of the District Executive Committee Alexander Erashov, as well as the leadership of educational institutions, teachers, and youth activists.
Summarizing the past academic year, participants noted significant positive changes in the level of education and social activity of students. Current issues of ensuring a high level of teaching, implementing modern educational methods, and integrating the latest technologies into learning were discussed.
The main points of the speech by Nikolay Shipulo, Head of the Education Department of the District Executive Committee, included a detailed overview of the current situation in education and outlined the priorities for the upcoming 2025–2026 academic year.
Elena Potapenko, Deputy Director for Educational Work at Ostroven Secondary School named after K.A. Abazovsky, emphasized the importance of the spiritual component in youth education, which contributes to shaping the moral compass of future generations.
Olga Krasakova, Director of Secondary School No. 2 in Beshenkovichi urban settlement named after M.N. Tkachenko, presented the experience of successful implementation of sports initiatives and promotion of a healthy lifestyle. She noted the high level of physical fitness among students and the development of an active life stance.
The topic of emotional development of preschoolers was concluded by Svetlana Matsuganova, Head of Kindergarten No. 6 in the urban settlement, who spoke about creating a comfortable environment for the harmonious growth and creative self-realization of each child.
For their significant contribution to the development of high-quality personnel and the active implementation of best practices, a number of teachers have been awarded state and regional honors: certificates of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, district executive committees and councils of deputies, as well as the main education departments of the Vitebsk region.
Following the results of the school competition held as part of the traditional sports games, the following educational institutions became winners:
First place was taken by Secondary School No. 2 of the urban settlement of Beshenkovichi named after M.N. Tkachenko (Head — Olga Krasakova),
Second place was awarded to Secondary School No. 1 of the urban settlement of Beshenkovichi named after I.I. Storchko (Head — Svetlana Baranok),
Third place was taken by the Rzhavskaya Basic School named after M.G. Gelovani (Head — Alexander Shipulya).
