Trinity Pedagogical Readings – the first event of the VIII district festival of spiritual culture and folk art in Ostrovno
Trinity Pedagogical Readings – On June 6, the Ostrovenskaya School hosted the first event of the district festival of spiritual culture and folk art, which will be held in the agro-town of Ostrovno for the eighth time.
Representatives of the pedagogical community and clergy took part in the event: the dean of the churches of the Beshenkovichi district, Archpriest Nikolai Kisel, the rector of the Church of the Holy Trinity of the agro-town of Ostrovno, Priest Andrey Doroshchenko, the rector of the Church of the Holy Trinity of the agro-town of Ulla, Priest Rodion Radevich, the rector of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord of the agro-town of Bocheykovo, Priest Sergiy Denishchits.
The Resource Center is a platform for working with educators. Elena Egorenko, a methodologist of the center for educational, ideological, socio-pedagogical, and information-analytical work of additional education for children and youth at the Vitebsk Regional Institute for the Development of Education, spoke to the attendees about the directions of the regional resource center for the spiritual, moral, and patriotic education of students.
Spiritual and moral education is what forms the core of a personality. It is not surprising that it receives close attention at school. Valentina Sharko, a primary school teacher at Ostroven Secondary School named after K. A. Abazovsky, shared her work experience with colleagues. Valentina Nikolaevna spoke about how the "Batleyka" theater helps in introducing students to the traditions of Belarusian culture.
Larisa Mitkovets, a mathematics and computer science teacher at Chashniki Secondary School No. 1 named after E. F. Ivanovsky, focused on the formation of moral qualities in children and adolescents through the organization of the resource center "Spiritual and Moral Education of Students based on Orthodox Culture and Traditions of the Belarusian People."
Marina Protas, a primary school teacher at Bochaykovo Secondary School named after M. A. Vysogorets, spoke about the spiritual and moral education of younger schoolchildren during the elective class "Fundamentals of Orthodox Culture." Marina Petrovna emphasized research projects.
Among the honored guests was Elena Fedyaeva, a member of the Union of Writers of Belarus and a singer at the church in honor of Blessed Matrona of Moscow in Vitebsk. The poet actively participated in the discussion of the meeting's topics and shared her creativity by reciting several of her works.
The event concluded with a solemn award ceremony.
The pedagogical readings demonstrated the opportunities provided in modern education for the development of a teacher's professional competence. The mastery of new communication methods and reaching a new professional level are steps towards the progress of education and, consequently, society.
