Safety tournament by EMERCOM employees for Ostrovno residents
As part of the "Do Not Leave Children Unattended!" campaign, employees of the propaganda center of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations conducted large-scale information and prevention work with residents of the rural settlement of Ostrovno, Beshenkovichi District.
The educational events were aimed at the youngest villagers, as well as schoolchildren and their parents. The propaganda events kicked off with a visit to a preschool educational institution. Thanks to a lesson from rescuers, the kindergarteners remembered the "golden rule" - matches are not toys for children. The girls and boys also learned that there can be many other items in the house that pose numerous dangers. And in this, they were helped not only by the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations but also by the characters from the cartoon "Magic Book." The children not only mastered the rules of safe behavior but also learned what to do in case of an emergency: how to call rescuers, and how dangerous a body of water can be if you are there without adult supervision.
The event for secondary school students was no less informative. Undoubtedly, thanks to the efforts of teachers, the students enrich their knowledge of life safety throughout the academic year, but the lesson from the rescuers also laid a certain foundation that will allow students to avoid emergencies during the holiday period.
The bright family relay race "Safety Tournament" marked the final stage of training for the residents of Ostrovno. While
Pairs of parents and children went through challenge stages from rescuers, trying to complete them as clearly and quickly as possible to outdo their rivals. An interactive EMERCOM playground with games and contests was operating nearby. In parallel, participating families and all interested individuals underwent testing as part of the PR campaign "Spend Time Usefully." Caring parents who conscientiously approach teaching children safety rules were awarded with letters of gratitude. The logical conclusion was the awarding of winners and participants.
