Harvesting under the protection of rescuers
The importance of the harvesting campaign cannot be overstated. Throughout the year, farmers actively work: plowing, fertilizing, sowing, in order to now, as quickly and efficiently as possible, without losses, harvest the crop and assess the quality of the farm's work. Safety issues during the harvesting campaign are also a priority, as the loss of equipment during this period is not only an economic loss for the enterprise but also a threat to food security.
Almost all agricultural enterprises in the Beshenkovichi district have already begun harvesting. While there is no rain, machine operators spend as much time as possible in the fields to harvest the maximum amount of grain.
Given the high pace of the harvesting campaign, the district rescuers are "keeping a close eye on things." Rescuers check the condition of the equipment before it leaves the enterprises' premises, after which fire trucks accompany the grain harvesting machinery to the fields and only return to their units after the combines have returned to their enterprises.
Grain drying complexes are also not overlooked. Work is carried out here around the clock, so there is a special approach to safety issues. Dust, debris, oil leaks on equipment, fuel storage,
continuous monitoring of automation and the availability of fire extinguishing means. Rescuers daily monitor the technological process and compliance with fire safety rules at each such facility in the district.
Work in a heightened state of alert for crop harvesting, drying, and storage facilities will continue until the end of the harvest campaign.
