Stole a Horse

As it turned out, in modern society, where cars are widely used as a means of transport, horse theft has not become obsolete. Thus, the district prosecutor's office supported the prosecution in the criminal case against G., who committed the theft of a horse with a cart and harness.

The accused G. lived with her husband and his father in one of the district's villages. At some point, she had a quarrel with her husband and moved to her friend's place in Vitebsk. Since she was not officially employed and ran out of cash, she decided to steal the horse belonging to her husband's father. She hitchhiked to the village and waited until 4 a.m. for the lights in the house to go out. Then, trying not to make noise, she harnessed the horse to the cart and drove it to Vitebsk, where she sold the horse to gypsies for 300 rubles.

In early 2018, the accused G. had already been convicted by the court for committing theft, and at that time, she was sentenced to imprisonment with a deferred execution of the sentence. However, G. did not draw the proper conclusions and committed a crime again, which was taken into account by the court when pronouncing the verdict in the present case, according to which G. was sentenced to actual imprisonment in a correctional colony under general regime conditions. The verdict has entered into legal force.
