Safety lessons – life lessons
In the Beshenkovichi district, as part of the republican campaign "Focus on Children!", the first safety lessons are being held. Today, rescuers met with children at the Rzhavskaya basic school, where children from several classes gathered.
Of course, the main goal of the rescuers was to teach safe behavior to children and adults, prevent deaths in fires, and also remind them of the action plan during a fire.
However, ordinary and boring safety lessons are not at all what schoolchildren expect from rescuers, so the inspector's task was not easy. Thanks to the integration of several subjects at once, rescuers told the children about various aspects of safety. For example, thanks to the chemistry lesson, children learned what the "fire triangle" is, during geography they went on a journey through countries where certain items that help prevent and extinguish fires in the present were invented, and during the computer science lesson they learned in more detail about the mobile application "Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus: Help is Nearby". The numbers and rules for calling rescuers during the math lesson, as well as an essay on safety during the Russian language lesson, were not overlooked.
The evacuation plan drill helped to recall the rules of conduct in case of fire. It is worth noting that
not only are these types of activities beneficial for children, but educators and caregivers can also be caught off guard in the event of an emergency.
Thanks to such an engaging and informative lesson, children not only recalled the basic safety rules but also learned some new facts about safety.
