Strengthened work of inspection commissions
It is better to prevent a fire than to deal with its consequences – this is the motto guiding the daily work of inspection commissions in the Beshenkovichi district.
Today, the inspection commission working in the territory of the Sorzhitsky rural council visited the households of single and lonely citizens. As practice shows, it is precisely such people who require special attention, as they are in the risk zone.
First and foremost, rescuers paid attention to the general fire safety condition of the dwelling: whether the heating stove is in good working order, whether detectors are installed in the living rooms, and whether the homeowner knows the rules for calling rescuers. After that, attention was paid to the adjacent territory: untimely removal of dry vegetation from areas adjacent to residential buildings is a potential source of ignition.
In turn, representatives of the rural council inquired: whether elderly citizens need assistance, and whether able-bodied relatives provide feasible help.
Each citizen visited received a reminder from the rescuers, and was also instructed on fire safety measures in the home.
