Target Indicators of Monetary Policy for 2026 Approved
On November 3, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 386, which approves the target indicators of monetary policy for 2026. The document is adopted to create conditions for sustainable economic growth. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The list of indicators meets the requirements for the National Bank and the banking system as a whole - promoting economic growth while maintaining price and financial stability.The Decree establishes the following indicators:
- Consumer price growth - no more than 7%;
- International reserve assets - at least $9.2 billion (the most important indicator of the country's economic security and financial stability);
- Share of non-performing bank assets in assets exposed to credit risk - no more than 10% (maintaining this level will ensure the stability of the entire banking system);
- Availability ratio of automated systems of payment market participants of the Republic of Belarus, through which settlement operations are carried out - not less than 99.8%;
- Growth in the volume of investment financing - at least 13% (to ensure support for investment lending).
