An off-site meeting of the Collegium of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Belarus was held in Beshenkovichi

On August 27, an off-site meeting of the board of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Belarus is being held at the Beshenkovichi forestry enterprise.

The opening of the board meeting took place on the site of forest crops of the Beshenkovichi forestry, created in the spring of 2023 as part of the "Forest Week" campaign.

 

Representatives of the country's forestry sector discussed the economic efficiency of growing forest crops on plots where stump lowering was carried out.

The head of the district, Galina Unukovich, is participating in the board meeting.

The participants of the board meeting familiarized themselves with the organization of work at the Beshenkovichi nursery.

The permanent forest nursery was established on the territory of the Beshenkovichi forestry in 1966. Its area is 10 hectares.

Last year, over 3 million coniferous seedlings and saplings were grown here.

The head of the department, Alexander Kulik, positively noted the work of the nursery, drawing attention to the order and adherence to technologies at the facility.

       

A large volume of work has been completed in the Beshenkovichi forestry during the Year of Improvement.

• New paving slabs and asphalt have been laid, garages have been repaired, flower beds have been arranged, and certain repair work has been carried out inside the forestry building.

Forester Sergey Rybik informed the participants of the collegium about the fulfillment of the main development indicators of the structural unit of the forest enterprise.

   

   

Over 14 thousand cubic meters of wood were processed in the woodworking shop of the Beshenkovichi forestry in the first half of 2025, which is 108.6% of the plan.

Approximately 7 thousand cubic meters of lumber were produced, with more than half of it, 70%, being exported.

The participants of the board meeting were shown the operation of the shop, including the recently commissioned log-turning machine. In the region, only a few forestry enterprises have acquired such equipment. It is designed for the industrial processing of logs for their subsequent use in the construction of houses and other structures.

The equipment allows for the complete set of operations to obtain structural elements for log houses.
