In Beshenkovichi, the approach to the path across the Nameless stream has been improved
The path, which begins literally across the road from the mass grave on Internatsionalnaya Street in the district center and leads towards the central district hospital, is used as a pedestrian artery not only by residents of this street but also by those from Pervomayskaya, Abazovsky, and other nearby streets, for whom it is a direct route home.
Although a city bus runs to the Central District Hospital several times a day, and one can walk from the center of the urban-type settlement to this area along well-maintained sidewalks, the long-established path across the Bezimyanny Stream is actively used by many residents of the urban-type settlement: employees, patients of the district hospital, confectionery production enterprises, and those opened on the basis of the former gymnasium – all for whom a direct route is very important. After all, not everyone has a personal vehicle, one has to adjust to the bus schedule, and who would go around in circles to get to their home if the way can be significantly shortened?
These and other arguments were heard from the residents of Pervomayskaya Street, who appealed to the editorial office of the district newspaper with a request to help make their way home safer and more comfortable, as the descent from Internatsionalnaya and the ascent to it are quite steep here…
We also confirmed this on site, having heard numerous similar complaints from passers-by, of whom there are plenty here, by the way. It indeed turned out to be quite a problem to step off the sidewalk and go down. Absolutely all passers-by, like us, did not even dare to do so, as the pedestrian path literally breaks off underfoot after the turn downwards, followed by an icy slope. For safety, people chose the opposite roadside, carefully descending along the grass, where, incidentally, a sand-salt mixture delivered by the utility service was already laid. They ascended the same way. Those who were older went out onto the sidewalk along the previously passable, and now broken, path along the mesh fence…
Igor Georgievich kept his word. The metal handrail was installed on the problematic section after lunch. A team of landscaping workers spread granular material on the roadside and a sand-salt mixture on the roadway.
The service's plans also include, as assured by the head, the proper arrangement of the path along the fence leading towards the multi-story building.
