In the Beshenkovichi district, the remains of genocide victims were reburied

Today, in the agro-town of Ulla, the remains of civilians from the villages of Sloboda and Bortniki, shot by the Nazi invaders during the Great Patriotic War, were reburied.
The event was attended by Kirill Myadel, Head of the Beshenkovichi District Department of Emergency Situations, Vladimir Terentyev, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies, Sergey Khmaruk, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus, Anatoly Linevich, Aide to the President – Inspector for the Vitebsk Region, the leadership of the regional and district prosecutor's offices, representatives of the district authorities, and work collectives.
Today, it is very important to remember what happened during the war years and not to allow history to be distorted or replaced by nonexistent fabrications about our people's role in the victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Such events are important as a reminder of the events of those years, so that the tragedy of wartime remains only in memory and is never repeated.
