In the Beshenkovichi district, a monitoring was carried out at the State Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 1 of the urban settlement Beshenkovichi named after I.I. Strochko"

The Sector of Supervision and Prevention of the Beshenkovichi District Department for Emergency Situations conducted a monitoring to ensure fire safety at the educational institution "Secondary School No. 1 of the urban-type settlement of Beshenkovichi named after I.I. Strochko" (urban-type settlement of Beshenkovichi, Tolstoy St., 4).

Following the monitoring, violations of fire safety requirements were identified that do not pose a threat to national security, harm to the life and health of the population, or the environment, namely:
- the height of the threshold in the doors of the evacuation exit (exit from the stairwell to the 3rd-floor corridor (right wing)) is more than 0.06 m (Clause 9 of the General Fire Safety Requirements for the Maintenance and Operation of Capital Structures (Buildings, Structures), Isolated Premises and Other Objects Belonging to Business Entities (hereinafter referred to as General Requirements), Clause 7.3.12 of SN 2.02.05-2020 Construction Norms of the Republic of Belarus. The school building is equipped with an automatic fire alarm system, a fire alarm notification system, and the SPI "Molniya" system. The aforementioned systems are serviced by the specialized organization LLC "StroyElektrosfera" in accordance with technical maintenance agreement No. 2-TO-23 dated 07.02.2023.

Representatives of the servicing organization have conducted a check of the operability and serviceability of these systems. The systems are in operable and serviceable condition. Programs for checking compliance with the requirements of technical normative legal acts during the maintenance and repair of fire alarm and fire detection systems, and the quality of work performed, have been developed.

The causes and conditions contributing to the commission of the specified violations were the insufficient knowledge of the enterprise's management regarding the requirements of regulatory legal acts in the field of fire safety, and a formal attitude towards the performance of their direct official duties.

During the monitoring, an briefing on fire safety measures was conducted with the employees of the institution (5 people were briefed).

The Beshenkovichi District Department for Emergency Situations reminds that in accordance with Article 20 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Fire Safety", heads of organizations must ensure fire safety and the fire safety regime in their respective organizations.
