In the Beshenkovichi district, a monitoring of the round-the-clock stay department for elderly citizens and disabled people of the State Institution 'Territorial Center for Social Services of the Population of the Beshenkovichi District' was carried out.

The inspection and prevention department of the Beshenkovichi District Department for Emergency Situations, with the aim of ensuring fire safety, monitored the department for round-the-clock stay of elderly citizens and disabled people of the State Institution "Territorial Center for Social Services of the Population of the Beshenkovichi District" located at 38a Vitebskoye Shosse Street, Beshenkovichi urban settlement.

During the work carried out, it was established that violations of fire safety legislation were identified at the facility, namely the "General Fire Safety Requirements for the Maintenance and Operation of Capital Structures (Buildings, Structures), Isolated Premises and Other Objects Belonging to Business Entities" approved by Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 7 of November 23, 2017 "On the Development of Entrepreneurship" (hereinafter referred to as Decree No. 7), specifically:

- operational documentation for the maintenance of the fire alarm system is kept in violation of the requirements;

          - the building of the facility is not fully equipped with indicative signs designating evacuation exits, evacuation routes, as well as the locations of primary fire extinguishing means;

- it is necessary to install doors separating the stairwell from the lobbies (vestibules) of the 1st and 2nd floors of the evacuation exits;

- evacuation plans require adjustment in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Decree No. 21 of April 20, 2018;

- the doors of the evacuation exit on the first floor are not equipped with locks that allow for free opening without a key.

The monitoring showed that the management needs to take a more serious approach to the requirements of technical regulatory legal acts of the fire safety standardization and regulation system, carry out fire safety measures at a higher quality level, and be aware that a major disaster can occur if they are not fulfilled.
