The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds:

Do not cross water bodies on ice in prohibited areas. In late winter, coastal areas, areas near drain pipes, and under bridges are dangerous. Under no circumstances should you go out on the ice in the dark or in poor visibility due to fog, snowfall, or rain.

Do not gather in groups on specific ice areas. When crossing water bodies in a group, maintain a distance of 5-6 meters from each other. Each angler is recommended to have a rescue device in the form of a cord 12-15 meters long, with a weight of 400-500 grams attached to one end and a loop made on the other.

If you fall into cold water, do not panic, do not make sudden movements, do not dive, and do not wet your head; stabilize your breathing. Hold onto the edge of the ice and call for help. Get out on the side of the ice from which you came. Push your body onto the ice, using your legs, resting on your bent elbows, and crawl in the direction you came from – the ice there has already been tested for strength.

Be careful and extremely attentive! And remember that your life is in your own hands!
