Areas of citizens are being promptly harvested in Beshenkovichi District
The "small" harvest in Beshenkovichi District has passed the halfway mark: 66% of household plots have already been threshed. This topic was discussed during a working meeting chaired by the head of the district executive committee, Galina Unukovich.
Chairpersons of rural executive committees were present at the meeting, each reporting on the situation in their respective territories.
For example, in the Bochaykovsky rural council, all 73 plots have been harvested. Private farmers and OOO "Sushchev-Agro" provided assistance to the population. The "small" harvest was also promptly carried out in the Sorzhitsky rural council, where 16 plots were declared and threshed by the efforts of a peasant farm.
Preparatory work preceded this. With the assistance of village elders, the needs of citizens for plot harvesting were assessed. Then, agreements were made with the service providers. Villagers were notified in advance about when the combine harvester was scheduled to be at their private yards.
All 107 declared plots have also been threshed in the Beshenkovichi rural council. Here, the local enterprise GP "PolitotdelAgro", despite the busy harvest season, allocated a separate combine harvester that visited the villagers' gardens. Private farmers also provided assistance with the harvesting.
The "small" harvest will begin in the Ullsky rural council tomorrow. Traditionally, this social function is entrusted to the Ullsky College. According to the chairperson of the rural executive committee, Yulia Akutenok, 29 private plots need to be harvested this year, which will take a maximum of two to three days.
SUP "Vyadrevo" will assist the residents of Ostrovno; applications have been received from the population for threshing 55 plots. 53 out of 94 plots have been harvested in the Verkhnekrivinsky rural council. Here, GP "PolitotdelAgro" and ZAO "ASB-Agro Novator" are lending a hand to the people.
At the same time, the chairpersons of rural executive committees need to analyze the situation with private plots once again: have all those who need help with grain harvesting submitted applications. This task was set by the head of the district, Galina Unukovich. She also reminded them of the need to talk to people, to explain that growing grain is much better within the general crop rotation of agricultural enterprises.
Firstly, it is difficult for large-sized equipment to maneuver in small plots, and moreover, they are mostly scattered throughout the village. However, it is easier and less costly for farmers to harvest them in a common field. And there is a benefit for the plot owners as well – they can get the same harvest at an acceptable price without any effort. Sowing, cultivation, harvesting, and drying of grain… The farm takes care of all the worries. Furthermore, transferring plots to the general crop rotation will make it possible to improve the farming culture in the district and eliminate the so-called "strip farming". The advantages of this approach are obvious.
In general, according to preliminary estimates, the harvest obtained from the household plots of the district residents will exceed 350 tons. Some may say that this is not a particularly impressive figure against the backdrop of the overall harvest of Beshenkovichsky district. However, it will allow us to save every grain for other needs.
