An updated fluorography room has been opened at Beshenkovichi Central District Hospital
The Beshenkovichi Central District Hospital is celebrating a double holiday – 60 years ago, the doors of a new hospital, built in 1965, were opened. On November 5, on the eve of the October Revolution Day, a grand opening took place after the renovation of the fluorography room with a new digital fluorograph installed.
The event was attended by Vyacheslav Durnov, Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Mikhail Vishnevetsky, Head of the Main Department for Healthcare of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Galina Unukovich, Chairperson of the District Executive Committee, Alexander Erashov, Deputy Chairperson of the District Executive Committee, Svetlana Roshchina, Chief Physician of the Beshenkovichi Central District Hospital, members of the executive committee, medical staff of the central district hospital, and residents of the district.
Strengthening the material base is one of the main factors in improving the quality of medical care for the population. The X-ray diagnostic apparatus "UNIOPTIMA-CR" worth 148 thousand rubles was purchased with funds from the republican budget. 370 thousand rubles were allocated from the local budget for the renovation of the room. According to technical requirements, a new ventilation system has been installed here, and the protective properties of the walls have been enhanced. Adjacent premises are reliably protected from X-ray radiation penetration.
The "UNIOPTIMA-CR" apparatus of Belarusian production has a sufficiently wide range of applications. It is a compact, economical, and mobile innovative open-type digital fluorograph that ensures accurate early diagnosis of chest diseases. In addition to its primary function – the prevention of lung diseases – it is capable of detecting pathology of the bone skeleton, heart, large vessels, diaphragm, and oncological manifestations. Its advantages include high throughput, high-level screening with patient protection, fast and convenient processing, storage, and transmission of images, and the ability to compare X-ray images of the same individuals over time.
Health is our most valuable asset. It is the full and happy tomorrow for every person and the entire nation. It is important that it is happy.
In Belarus, the healthcare sector is given the utmost attention; it is not static, it develops every year, medical facilities are being transformed, and conditions for patients and the work of medical staff are improving. In our Central District Hospital last year, the physiotherapy department was renovated, and modern equipment was acquired, which allowed us to expand the range of physiotherapy services, reduce treatment times at the inpatient stage, and accelerate the recovery process for patients. The food block was repaired, and now the fluorography room with a new digital fluorograph installed.
Early diagnosis is an important link in maintaining public health. The new digital fluorograph will be used, among other things, for medical examinations, the purpose of which is the early detection of possible diseases. Diagnosis at the early stages of development simplifies treatment and improves its final outcome.
Words of sincere gratitude were addressed to the regional executive committee, the district executive committee, and the main department for healthcare of the regional executive committee for a significant gift to the residents of the district on the eve of the October Revolution Day.
As Galina Unukovich noted, the ideas of peace, good, creation, and unity were fundamental during the revolution and remain the main ones now. The mission that healthcare professionals carry today – creating equal conditions for quality treatment and quality healthcare – is being fulfilled. Our medicine is valued in different countries. It is not for nothing that people come to us for treatment from abroad. The main thing is that we value and understand this.
