On the Eve of the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus
On the eve of the main state holiday – the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus – touching meetings took place in the district, which became a true symbol of the living connection between generations.
Those who know firsthand the hardships of wartime experienced words of gratitude from the district leadership, the public, and, of course, from schoolchildren, for whom the feat of their elders is a moral compass for life.
Zoya Sergeyevna Grigoryeva, a former concentration camp prisoner who is currently in the Bocheykovo nursing hospital, was visited by the head of the district, Galina Unukovich.
The veteran was presented with flowers, gifts, and a Letter of Gratitude. Warm words of support were also heard from schoolchildren of Bocheykovo Secondary School, their principal, and the chairperson of the district organization of the Belarusian Women's Union, Natalia Apanasenok, as well as from the chairperson of the rural executive committee, Galina Shchuko.
Deputy Chairperson of the District Executive Committee Elena Baranova, along with her colleagues, visited Efrosinya Spiridonovna Stanislavchik, a resident of besieged Leningrad, and former prisoners Valentina Prokopyevna Labkova, Anna Martynovna Pinchuk, and Alexandrina Ivanovna Polotskaya.
Such meetings are more than just visits. They are a living connection between generations. As long as we remember, we are invincible!
