Over 200 members of student detachments, commanders and commissars of territorial headquarters, veterans of the youth movement of Belarus, and heads of organizations hosting student detachments were awarded commemorative statuettes and valuable gifts for their success in the third labor semester.

The participants were congratulated on this significant day by the Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Vyacheslav Durnov.

— Every year, young people show increasing interest in the student detachment movement, which not only fosters camaraderie but also provides invaluable assistance to the state, as student detachment members acquire valuable skills in agriculture, medicine, pedagogy, and beyond. They learn to work in a team and take responsibility, which will undoubtedly be useful to them in the future. For many, this becomes a true school of life, shaping their future professional path, – noted Vyacheslav Durnov.

A pleasant surprise for the participants was the congratulation from a veteran of the student detachment movement, Boris Ryklin, who noted that the traditions laid down in the 1960s by the youth of that time are in reliable hands of the young generation of the 21st century.

Zhanna Naritsyna, First Secretary of the Regional Committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM), spoke about the successes of the region's student detachments.

— Members of student teams are the most disciplined, well-mannered, active, and creative individuals. They are ready to help everyone and are not accustomed to sitting idly. This is confirmed by the large number of victories in competitions at the republican level. For instance, our team won the All-Belarusian Youth Construction project and the MAZ "Avtozavodets" republican project. With their achievements, the young people set an example for the youth, contributing to the formation of a new generation of responsible and goal-oriented citizens, ready to tackle the most complex tasks and make a significant contribution to the country's development. Their enthusiasm and pursuit of excellence serve as an inspiration to many, proving that youth is a force capable of transforming the world for the better, — shared Zhanna Naritsyna.

The production student team "Berkut" named after the Hero of the Soviet Union, Lieutenant General Georgy Batalov, which celebrated its 5th anniversary this year, was among the awardees. The team's commissar, Ivan Stranchenko, spoke about the activities of "Berkut."

— Any active and creative student of the Vitebsk State Technological University can join our team, the main thing is the desire and aspiration. It is gratifying that our activities benefit the state. We became winners of the MAZ "Avtozavodets" republican project. This success has inspired us to new achievements. Each member of the team is a unique individual whose ideas and energy help us move forward, overcoming any obstacles, — said Ivan Stranchenko.

Participants of the student pedagogical team "Phoenix" named after the Hero of the Soviet Union Alexander Azonchik work annually at the All-Russian Children's Center "Orlyonok" in the Krasnodar Krai, where they gain experience in organizing children's leisure from their Russian colleagues, exchange educational work methodologies, and strengthen friendly ties between the youth of different countries.

— For the fifth year now, our students have been sharing their knowledge and talents with children. This is not just a summer job, but a real school of life. The opportunity to collaborate with young people from other countries, to learn about their culture and traditions, makes this experience truly invaluable. We believe that such joint projects are a solid foundation for peace and mutual understanding for future generations, — said Yana Moroz, commander of the student detachment of VSU named after P. Masherov.
