Children in the spotlight!

From August 19, the Ministry of Emergency Situations' information and awareness campaign "Focus on Children!" will launch in the republic and will run until September 13. The campaign aims to draw public attention to the problem of child injuries and fatalities from external causes, including fires due to leaving children unattended.

The first stage will take place from August 19 to August 30. This period for the campaign launch is not accidental: the last ten days of August are a busy time for parents and their children – the final preparations for the new school year. That is why the main target audience with whom rescuers will actively work will be parents, and the venues for interaction with them will be shopping areas and places where children's goods are sold (school bazaars, fairs). For example, in departments with children's clothing in large shopping centers and other retail outlets, sets of children's firefighter protective clothing will appear on mannequins and hangers, and in stationery departments – fire extinguishers and autonomous smoke detectors. All атрибутика will be accompanied by an information carrier with a tag bearing the slogan "For unattended children". Ministry of Emergency Situations employees will act as experts, sharing rules of safe behavior, helping to acquire not only school supplies but also invaluable knowledge, and as a pleasant bonus – presenting everyone with bright brochures, booklets, leaflets, and "Tips from the Ministry of Emergency Situations for Parents and Children."

Parents and children, while shopping for school uniforms and stationery, will also be able to test their knowledge of safe behavior rules in everyday life. Ministry of Emergency Situations employees will offer children to take the "Safety Exam," which is relevant at the beginning of the school year.

The second stage will last from September 2 to September 13. The venues for events will be institutions of primary general secondary education. Rescuers will attend festive assemblies and conduct thematic "Safety Lessons" with children.

Additionally, Ministry of Emergency Situations employees will participate in parent-teacher meetings, where special attention will be paid to ensuring safe living conditions for children, teaching them rules of safe behavior at home and outdoors, and interactively reminding parents of the rules for using fire extinguishers and first aid procedures.

Join the campaign and make this period happy and safe for your children!
