Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin took part in the grand opening of the new dairy farm complex of KUPSHP "Kokhanovichi" in Verkhnedvinsk District.

The dairy farm complex is designed to house 2200 head of cattle, of which 786 are dairy cows. The construction cost of the facility is about 35 million rubles. The project was implemented through credit resources of OJSC "Belagroprombank" and funds of OJSC "Verkhnedvinsk Butter and Cheese Factory" with subsequent transfer of the complex to the agricultural enterprise.

The complex, with a total area of over 34 thousand square meters, includes 6 main buildings, including 2 cow barns, a milking and milk processing unit, a maternity ward with a section for dry cows, a shelter for the calf nursery, 12 silage trenches, and an administrative and amenity complex.

– For three years now, the strategy for the development of the Vitebsk region has been consistently implemented, – noted Alexander Subbotin. – In 2023, we started working on this facility to achieve decent results. And now, on the eve of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, we are putting it into operation. It will house over 2,000 animals. The complex is built using the latest scientific advancements, and it has everything necessary. All that remains is to adhere to the technology and achieve good results. These are the first fruits of our strategy's implementation.
