In the Vitebsk region, as of August 9, 26% of the planned area has been harvested

Belarusian farmers have threshed 3540.8 thousand tons of grain with an average yield of 37.7 centners per hectare, BELTA was informed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

As of August 9, in the Brest region, 73.9% of the planned area (255.6 thousand hectares) has been harvested, in the Vitebsk region - 26% (94.2 thousand hectares), in the Gomel region - 51.9% (179.9 thousand hectares), in the Grodno region - 36.7% (112.1 thousand hectares), in the Minsk region - 41.4% (185.7 thousand hectares), in the Mogilev region - 33.9% (112.5 thousand hectares).

Malting barley has been harvested from 26.6 thousand hectares, which is 48.8% of the plan, yielding 113.2 thousand tons with an average yield of 42.5 centners per hectare. Winter rapeseed for grain has been harvested from 270 thousand hectares, which is 87.6% of the harvestable area, yielding 709.6 thousand tons with an average yield of 26.3 centners per hectare.

Flax has been pulled from 32.3 thousand hectares, which is 72.9% of the harvestable area. Flax windrow turning has been completed on 10.07 thousand hectares (31.2% of the pulled flax). Flax straw has been raised from 3.57 thousand hectares (8.06% of the harvestable area).

The second cutting of grasses has been carried out on 798.6 thousand hectares (78.2% of the plan). 684.9 thousand tons of hay (71.7% of the plan), 11,590.1 thousand tons of silage (86.3%), and 317.1 thousand tons of corn silage (1.66%) have been prepared.
