Two children died in a fire in the Zhytkavichy district

On December 12, at 05:52, a report was received by phone 101 about a residential building fire at the address: Zhytkavichy, Yakub Kolas Street.

Upon arrival at the scene, it was established that the roof of the house was on fire with an open flame, and the interior of the house was burning.

Two children of the homeowner were found by the MES rescuers in a room in an unconscious state. They were carried out into the fresh air and handed over to healthcare professionals. After resuscitation measures were carried out by the ambulance crew, death was confirmed.

During the investigation, it was established that before the arrival of the MES units, the mother of four children woke up to the sound of an activated autonomous fire alarm and discovered a fire in the house. She managed to carry two children out of the burning house.

The fire destroyed the roof, ceiling, and property in the house.

The cause of the fire is being determined. The considered version of the cause of the fire is violation of the rules for operating electrical networks and electrical equipment.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs: check the condition of the electrical wiring in your home, do not overload the electrical network, and when leaving the house, turn off all electrical appliances. If an electrical appliance is faulty, do not try to repair it yourself; entrust this to professionals. In case of fire, do not panic.
