"Your safety is in your hands." We often hear this phrase. However, for citizens to be able to fully take care of their safety, they need to know as much as possible about it. Therefore, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) staff actively conduct fire prevention work with fellow citizens in work collectives, educational institutions, and at village meetings.
The Beshenkovichi district was visited by the Deputy Head of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the MES, Alexey Nikolaevich Makeenko, who held a meeting with the residents of the agro-town of Bocheikovo, Beshenkovichi district.
Alexey Nikolaevich informed those present about the operational situation regarding fires in the region and the district, provided examples and circumstances of deaths from external causes, emphasizing the facts of deaths due to alcohol abuse and smoking in bed. The MES representative elaborated on the deaths of children, highlighting the problem of leaving minors unsupervised. Issues of fire safety compliance during the operation of heating stoves and electrical equipment were also discussed. A. N. Makeenko also reminded about the need to maintain autonomous fire detectors in good working order.

in the presence of the department staff, the results of the department's emergency response work for 2019 were summarized, all existing shortcomings were pointed out, and priority areas for further work were identified.
