Your safety is in your hands
"Your safety is in your hands." We often hear this phrase. But for citizens to be able to fully take care of their safety, they need to know as much about it as possible. Therefore, the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees conduct active fire prevention work with their fellow countrymen in work collectives, educational institutions, and at village meetings.
The Head of the Beshenkovichi District Department for Emergency Situations, Kirill Myadel, and the Deputy Head, Alexey Golub, held meetings with the work collectives of the dairy farm of the agricultural enterprise "Svitino" and the district library.
In their speeches, rescuers emphasized the facts of people's deaths due to alcohol abuse and smoking in bed, as most fires where people died were caused by the negligence of the homeowners themselves.
In addition, rescuers reminded citizens about the prohibition of burning dry vegetation: there have already been the first cases of people dying in such fires in Belarus, and although there is still snow in some places in the Vitebsk region, warm weather is not far off, which means many will want to tidy up their household plots. The department's management clearly defined how to light fires and what consequences could arise from grass fires.
Issues of fire safety compliance during the operation of stove heating and electrical equipment were also discussed.
