To procure fodder on time and in reserve, and to preserve its quality – this is what agricultural producers were urged by the head of the district, Galina Unukovich, during a meeting of the district executive committee, which discussed the preparation for the current year's fodder harvesting campaign.

As noted at the meeting, the district's agricultural organizations ensure an annual increase in harvested forage crops. Over the past 5 years, the harvesting growth has amounted to 142.5% (+9.4 centners of feed units).

"There is not much time," emphasized Galina Unukovich. "Therefore, it is important to promptly take measures to ensure the readiness of all fodder harvesting equipment and the mobilization of human resources."

Special attention is paid to fodder storage issues.

"We must procure the best fodder and preserve its quality, which will allow us to successfully get through the winter period and increase milk and meat production indicators," added the head of the district.

In total, the district's agrarians in 2026 need to ensure the harvesting of forage crops amounting to 32.5 thousand tons of feed units, which, per conventional head, will be at least 38.4 centners of feed units.
