News from the Fields: Active Harvesting and Fodder Procurement Continue in the District

The battle for the harvest continues in the district.

Fodder procurement is underway in parallel. Farmers are also laying the groundwork for next year's harvest.

Harvesting Has Passed the Equator
According to the district agricultural department, as of August 20, 5729 hectares of grain and leguminous crops have been harvested in the district, or 59% of the plan. 20606 tons have been threshed, with a yield of 36 centners per hectare.
Sunny days have allowed farmers to increase the pace of harvesting, but now the rains have returned, forcing work under "extreme" conditions again... Nevertheless, it does not stop. Powerful machinery is on standby in the fields where combines are operating, ready at any moment to "rescue" the agricultural vessels from "captivity." Grain drying complexes are running at full capacity. Everyone involved in the harvest understands that they are entrusted with gathering from the fields what was carefully sown and fertilized several times. So much effort has been invested!
Almost all farms have completed the winter rapeseed harvest. Only KFH "Psenichny Dvor" and ZAO "Vitebskagropodukt" have fields left to harvest. Currently, 3250 tons of rapeseed oilseeds have been threshed in the district, with an average yield of 20.1 centners per hectare.

Leguminous Crops Next
The harvest of leguminous crops has begun in the district.
The workers of ZAO "ASB-Agro Novator" were the first to start this type of work. As of yesterday, 105 hectares out of the planned 120 hectares have been harvested, or 88%. The yield is 44.3 centners per hectare. 33% of the areas with leguminous crops have been harvested at Ulla College.
In total, 557 hectares of leguminous crops need to be harvested in the district.

For the Country's Needs
Bread producers of Beshenkovichi district are approaching the finish line for grain deliveries for state needs.
The rapeseed target has been overfulfilled. More than 927 tons of rapeseed oilseeds, or 103% of the target, have been delivered to JSC "Vitebsk Oil Extraction Plant".
3122 tons of grain, or 84.39% of the target, have been sent from the farmers of our district to the country's grain processing enterprises.

The Green Conveyor Does Not Stop
Beshenkovichi rural workers continue to procure feed. As of August 20, more than 14.5 thousand tons of feed units have been procured in the district, or 15.12 feed units per conditional head.
The second cutting has mown 2031 hectares, or 47.2% of the plan. Farmers also worked well during the first cutting, mowing and harvesting feed from an area of 6268 hectares.
The district agricultural department notes that lucerne has proven to be the most effective type of feed this year. For example, in CJSC "ASB-Agro Novator", this crop is grown in its pure form on an area of 234 hectares.
➢ By the way, out of 45.5 thousand tons of haylage procured in the district, 4.2 thousand tons are pressed into stretch film.

Provision for the Future Harvest
Sowing of winter rapeseed is also actively underway. In total, 958 hectares of this crop have been sown in the district out of the planned 2150, or 44.6%. Workers of Ulla College have fully fulfilled their plan. Good sowing rates are demonstrated by the sowers of GP "PolitotdelAgro" (73.3%), SUP "Vyaderovo" (68.3%), KFH "Pshenichny Dvor" (63.6%).
