The Vitebsk Regional Directorate of the Department for Supervision of Safe Operation of Industrial Facilities of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus (Gospromnadzor) reminds!

   As of June 01, 2023, the new "Rules for Ensuring Industrial Safety in the Field of Gas Supply" and "Rules for Ensuring Industrial Safety of Equipment Operating Under Excess Pressure" have come into force.

   In accordance with the requirements of the instruction "On Preparation and Knowledge Verification on Industrial Safety Issues" (approved by the Ministry of Emergency Situations Resolution No. 31 dated July 06, 2016), no later than one month from the date of entry into force of legislative acts in the field of industrial safety, an unscheduled knowledge verification in the Gosgortekhnadzor commission must be carried out by:

- managers and specialists:

who exercise management and are appointed in the prescribed manner as responsible for carrying out work when performing work and (or) providing services that constitute industrial safety activities;

who perform work that constitutes industrial safety activities;

- employees of the industrial safety service (industrial safety engineer, responsible person entrusted with relevant duties for ensuring industrial safety);

- persons responsible for safe operation;

- instructors (to the extent of the requirements of legislative acts in the field of industrial safety that they teach).

   For operating organizations, prior to the commissioning of seasonal gas-using equipment (agricultural gas-using units, heating boilers, etc.), in accordance with clause 344 of the "Rules for Ensuring Industrial Safety in the Field of Gas Supply," the knowledge verification of employees on industrial safety issues is one of the mandatory requirements, without which the removal of plugs and gas supply is not permitted.

   We also draw attention to the fact that unscheduled knowledge verification does not exempt from periodic knowledge verification.
