In accordance with Decree No. 367 "On Voluntary Insurance of Additional Accumulated Pension", starting from October 1, 2022, employed citizens who have at least 3 years remaining until they reach the general retirement age have the opportunity to accumulate additional pension savings with state financial support.

How to do it:

- Conclude an agreement on voluntary insurance of an additional accumulated pension with the state enterprise "Stravita";

- Choose a pension contribution rate – from 2% to 13% of the accrued salary, of which:

from 1% to 10% – is withheld from the employee;

from 1% to 3% – is paid by the employer;

- Notify the employer of the conclusion of the agreement on voluntary insurance of an additional accumulated pension by submitting an application for withholding the insurance premium, which is to be paid from the employee's funds;

- Determine the payout period for your additional pension – within 5 or 10 years after reaching the general retirement age.

Key advantages:

- Financial independence – pension payments will not be limited to the state pension only;

-   personal control over savings – the amount of the monthly insurance premium can be changed depending on financial situation or temporarily suspended;

-   savings are protected by the state from inflation and invested in reliable assets, allowing savings to grow faster than with regular bank deposits;

-   receiving tax benefits – a tax deduction of 13% of the amount of paid insurance premiums, which is returned to the employee from the paid income tax;

-   financial discipline – the agreement helps to systematically set aside money, turning it into a useful habit;

-   inheritance of pension savings in case of the employee's death – the savings are paid to heirs in a lump sum.

The number of participants in the voluntary insurance program for additional funded pensions with state financial support is growing in the Vitebsk region.

853 enterprises and organizations make insurance premium contributions to the RUP "Stravita" to the personal accounts of 5,829 employees.

Among the regions of the oblast, the leaders in terms of the number of employees with accumulating additional pension savings are the city of Novopolotsk – (1,759 participants), the Oktyabrsky district of Vitebsk (1,107 participants), the Orshansky district – (725 participants), and the Polotsky district – (607 participants).
