Attention! Competition!

In August 2025, Saint Petersburg will host the International Photographic Olympiad "PhotOlympic-2025" for the first time in the Russian Federation.
Project organizers: Russian Professional Photographers League (Saint Petersburg), "24th Frame" Photographic Community (Serbia).
The events will be held under the certification of the International Association of Photographic Art IAAP, with the support of Russian, foreign, and international photographic Unions, Associations, communities, and ambassadors.
The project aims to preserve, promote, and develop domestic and global cultural heritage through the art of photography, engaging young people while identifying and supporting young talented leaders in the field of photography. In this context, the city of Saint Petersburg was chosen as a UNESCO World Heritage site, possessing outstanding universal value for present and future generations of all humanity.
From January to June, three qualifying rounds will be held as part of the correspondence stage of the project, based on which 96 photographers will be selected by international-class judges to participate in the in-person stage (semifinal and final) of the Olympiad in Saint Petersburg.
Also, with the aim of attracting youth attention to issues of Russia's historical and cultural heritage, fostering patriotism, and identifying and supporting talented young leaders in the field of photographic art, a "Youth Photomarathon" will be held, targeting photographers aged 18-35.
From August 18 to 25, 2025, the semi-final and final of the "International Photographic Olympiad 'PhotOlympic-2025'" project will take place. Participants will submit photographs to the jury in 24 nominations, taken in real-time (24 hours), using additional routes:
-   "CENTRAL", Historic St. Petersburg (Hermitage, Palace Square, Summer Garden, Field of Mars, St. Isaac's Cathedral);
-   "NORTHERN", Modern St. Petersburg (Lakhta Center Gazprom Tower, 300th Anniversary of St. Petersburg Park, Gazprom Arena, Krestovsky Island);
-   "INDUSTRIAL" (industry, sectors, factories, enterprises);
-   City of Pushkin;
In order to exchange experience in the field of photo art, a round table will be held within the framework of the project with the participation of heads of photographic Unions and Associations of Russia and abroad.
Additional events will be organized for photographers and city guests: lectures, master classes, workshops, presentations, conferences, excursions. Upon completion of the competition, a grand awards ceremony will be held, the opening of the final exhibition of photographic works by the winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad and the Youth Photo Marathon, which will subsequently be presented in cities of Russia and abroad. The creation of the "Olympiad Almanac" as a result of the largest International competition in the field of photography holds special cultural and historical value.
The project events will be covered by federal and regional media, as well as accredited foreign media.
The project is participating in the competition for grants from the President of the Russian Federation for the implementation of projects in the fields of culture, art, and creative industries.
