The Vitebsk City Department for Emergency Situations informs the public about a technical test of the Vitebsk Region's alert system. On December 2, from 10:00 to 16:00, the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will conduct a comprehensive test of the alert systems to maintain their readiness and ensure timely notification of citizens about potential emergencies and appropriate conduct in such situations.

During the test, electric sirens of the public alert system, as well as local alert systems of potentially hazardous facilities, will be activated throughout Vitebsk. Simultaneously, test messages will be broadcast on VHF and FM radio bands, as well as through public address systems at facilities. Residents are asked to remain calm and maintain public order during the tests.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations draws attention to the rules of conduct when electric sirens are activated. The activation of electric sirens signifies the "Attention All" warning signal. Upon hearing this signal, it is necessary to turn on radio or television receivers tuned to the "First National Channel" to listen to the emergency message.
