ATTENTION! SPRING FISHING BAN IN VITEBSK REGION.

The Vitebsk Regional Inspectorate for Wildlife and Plant Protection informs that due to abnormally warm weather and early spawning, according to Resolution No. 2 of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus dated 04.03.2020, a ban on fishing for all types of fish has been established in the Vitebsk region from March 31 to June 8, 2020, with the exception of amateur fishing, only during daylight hours, with one fishing rod, with one hook or one spinning rod equipped with an artificial lure, with one single, double or triple hook from the shore (without entering the water) or from ice, from an artificial structure.     During the fishing ban period, a ban on the use of small vessels by citizens is also established.
    In case of illegal fishing during the ban period with prohibited fishing gear and methods, the damage caused to the environment is calculated threefold.
