Involvement of Minors in Antisocial Behavior

Often, people who should be a positive example for the younger generation, without thinking about the consequences, involve minors in drinking alcoholic beverages, thus showing them another, "negative" side of life.

The law provides for responsibility for such "negligent" adults. In accordance with Article 17.4 of the Code of the Republic of Belarus on Administrative Offenses, involving a minor in antisocial behavior by purchasing alcoholic, low-alcohol beverages or beer for them, as well as any other involvement by a person who has reached the age of eighteen, knowingly involving a minor in the consumption of alcoholic, low-alcohol beverages or beer, or in the non-medical use of potent or other intoxicating substances – entails a fine of ten to thirty basic units.

In the Vitebsk region, 483 offenses under Article 17.4 of the Code of Administrative Offenses were registered in the past period of 2017, of which 2 were committed in the Beshenkovichi district.

The public danger of this offense lies both in harming the upbringing of minors and in introducing adolescents, who are most susceptible to external influence, to drinking alcohol.
