Military-Industrial Complex, Africa, Oil Refining. Lukashenko Held Closed-Door Meetings on Crucial Issues

On October 2, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko held three working meetings. They covered various topics and were largely held behind closed doors, but addressed crucial issues. These included the military-industrial complex, cooperation with African countries, and the oil refining sector, as reported to BelTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

During the first meeting, the President discussed the performance of Belarus's military-industrial complex, including key joint projects with foreign partners. The focus was on promising areas and the scientific and technical potential of the Belarusian defense industry.

Cooperation with African countries across a broad spectrum of areas was another set of issues reported to the President. Deliveries of Belarusian products to the African continent, assembly production of equipment, cooperation in agriculture, and ensuring food security are all in-demand areas for which African partners have expressed interest. The President has called for intensifying work and accelerating progress in all these directions.

The third topic was oil refining. At the working meeting on this issue, the discussion focused on improving efficiency and increasing oil processing volumes.
