Burning dry vegetation is unacceptable!

As part of the "Safe Old Age" information campaign, the Ministry of Emergency Situations urges adult children to tidy up the household plots of their elderly relatives.
Due to their advanced age, some citizens resort to dangerous methods of tidying up their home territories, such as burning dry vegetation or making fires in unauthorized places. In order to protect the "golden" age representatives from emergencies, the Ministry of Emergency Situations is conducting the "Safe Old Age" information campaign. However, cases where fire-related emergencies do occur are still happening.
On 05/16/2022 at 13:37, a report was received about a fire of dry vegetation on the household plot of a house in the village of Pyatigorsk, Beshenkovichi district. Fortunately, the fire was localized and extinguished in time. The exact cause of the fire is being established. The considered version of the cause of the fire is careless handling of fire while burning garbage.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds you!
Burning dry vegetation and stubble is prohibited! Illegal burning of dry vegetation, grass on the root, as well as stubble and post-harvest residues in fields, or failure to take measures to prevent fires on land plots, entails a fine of ten to thirty basic units, according to Article 16.40 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus.
Burning garbage on a household plot is allowed:
- only in calm weather;
- at a safe distance from buildings;
- under constant supervision;
- in the presence of primary fire extinguishing means (a bucket of water, a shovel).
