Burning is prohibited!

In connection with the approaching spring-summer fire-hazardous period, the Beshenkovichi District Inspectorate of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection reminds:

in accordance with Article 20 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Flora", it is prohibited to light bonfires, burn plant residues in public areas in settlements, with the exception of specially equipped places determined by decisions of local executive and administrative bodies, and in other areas, it is permitted with compliance with environmental protection requirements and fire safety rules; it is also prohibited to burn dry vegetation (dry plants) and its residues in situ.

in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Fire Safety Rules for residential buildings, structures and facilities located on the adjacent territory, garden houses, utility buildings and facilities located on a land plot provided for collective gardening, dachas, utility buildings and facilities located on a land plot provided for dacha construction, on the adjacent territory, land plots provided for collective gardening or dacha construction, it is not allowed to burn dry vegetation in situ, and when lighting bonfires on the adjacent territory, continuous control over the burning and smoldering process must be ensured.

The Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus provides for administrative liability:

Article 16.40 - for illegal burning of dry vegetation, grass in situ, as well as stubble and post-harvest residues in fields or failure to take measures to eliminate fires on land plots - in the form of a fine ranging from ten to thirty basic units;

Article 16.41 - for lighting bonfires in prohibited places - in the form of a fine of up to twelve basic units.
