Irina Okunevich was born and raised in the Krasnodar Territory. When she was in school, she never thought of dedicating her life to agriculture. "My parents influenced my choice of future profession," recalls Irina Yurievna. "It was they who advised me to choose zootechnics and get an education at the Vitebsk Academy of Veterinary Medicine."

At that time, the girl did not even imagine that the decision made would become decisive for her not only in choosing a specialty but also in her entire life. At the academy, Irina met her future husband. Alexander was a year older. The young people immediately liked each other and started dating. In 2013, they got married. Their family settled in Beshenkovichi District – Alexander's small homeland.

Initially, Irina worked in the veterinary laboratory of the veterinary station. For the last 11 years, she has been working at the "Beshenkovichi Breeding Station" branch of RUP "Vitebsk Breeding Enterprise," and now she is the chief zootechnician.
Animal husbandry is rightly called a profitable sector of agriculture, as milk and meat bring significant profits, and breeding work on cattle reproduction is one of the main components in this crucial issue. Irina Yurievna monitors insemination and calf births in agricultural organizations of the district and maintains a cattle database. She says she enjoys her work. The knowledge and skills acquired at the veterinary academy are very helpful in practical activities.

For two decades, Belarus has become not just a place of residence for Irina, but a true home. Here, she not only found love and received a profession, but also achieved significant professional results, earning the respect of colleagues and management. Her son Kirill was born and is growing up here; after the premature death of her husband, she has been raising him alone, surrounding him with love and care.
The support of loved ones, simple and sincere people, helped her not to give up during this difficult period of her life. There are many such people on our Beshenkovichi land, which has become home for this Russian woman...
