Caring for the safety of the small homeland: an event in Beshenkovichi
An important event was recently held in Beshenkovichi, organized by Darya Beresten, inspector of the propaganda and public relations sector of the Beshenkovichi District Department for Emergency Situations. This event was part of the republican campaign "With Care for the Safety of the Small Motherland" and brought together elderly citizens at the district territorial center for social services for the population.
The main goal of this event was to raise public awareness of safety measures related to bonfires and the prevention of forest and peat fires, which can pose a serious threat to the environment and public health.
Darya Sergeevna used an interactive approach, conducting a quiz called "Grass is Not Firewood." Participants showed keen interest in answering questions, and the inspector shared useful information about the consequences and dangers associated with the careless handling of fire in nature. This communication format not only entertained the elderly citizens but also made learning about safe behavior more accessible and understandable.
In addition, visual materials were presented during the event, which helped to better absorb the information provided. These materials contained tips for safe fire handling, as well as interesting facts about forest and peat fires, including their causes and consequences.
At the end of the meeting, participants shared their own stories and experiences related to nature and fire safety, which contributed to creating an atmosphere of trust and mutual understanding.
Thus, the event in Beshenkovichi became not only a useful but also an engaging activity for elderly citizens. Such initiatives, carried out with a focus on safety, strengthen intergenerational ties and create a more resilient society where safety becomes a shared responsibility.
