Prohibition of Destroying Bird Nests for Population Control

The Beshenkovichi District Inspectorate for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, in order to prevent violations of environmental legislation, informs that in accordance with the Rules for Regulating the Distribution and Population of Wild Animals, from February 16 to August 14, it is prohibited to regulate the distribution and population of birds that cause harm to natural environmental components, as well as deteriorate the sanitary and aesthetic condition of settlements, residential, industrial, cultural, and other buildings and structures, or cause disturbance to residents of settlements, by destroying their nests located on plantings in settlements, residential, industrial, cultural, and other buildings and structures.

In accordance with Part 4 of Article 16.23 of the Code of the Republic of Belarus on Administrative Offenses, violation of the rules for regulating the distribution and population of wild animals entails a fine of up to twenty basic units for individuals, up to fifty basic units for individual entrepreneurs, and up to two hundred basic units for legal entities.
