By joint efforts, fellow countrymen planted 130 seedlings of bladdernut (Physocarpus opulifolius) and white cotoneaster (Cotoneaster integerrimus) near house No. 25 on Chernyakhovsky Street, where a landscaped public garden will be established in the future.
As Sergey Karas, Head of the District Inspectorate for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, explained, this area was recently occupied by vegetable gardens, which had an unpresentable appearance. Therefore, it was decided to cultivate this territory. Lawn grass has already been sown here, and the base for a pathway has been prepared. During the first stage, as part of the event, a hedge of shrubs was planted. In the spring, compositional plantings will appear here.
Participants of the Unified Greening Day worked diligently, completing the planned work in just an hour. Everyone gathered for a group photo with a sense of satisfaction.
“Greening is not just an event, it is our responsibility to nature and future generations,” shared her opinion Olga Fieshko, Chairperson of the district organization of the RPO “Belaya Rus”. “Therefore, together we are creating a space that will be pleasant to live in.”
