How to act in case of fire? Where to run and what to save? How not to panic? Everyone should know the answers to these and other questions, because knowing how to behave in emergency situations in public places or at home, the ability to assess them objectively, and actions honed to automatism will help preserve our most important value – life. These issues were discussed at a meeting between the Head of the institution "Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations" Meleshkin Sergey Nikolaevich and the work collective of the healthcare institution "Beshenkovichi Central District Hospital".

To begin with, Sergey Nikolaevich reminded those present of the need to comply with fire safety rules in everyday life, then he familiarized them with the actions in case of fire, and demonstrated how to properly use primary fire extinguishing means.

In his speech, the head of the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations spoke about the emergencies that occurred this year, about the causes of deaths in fires, noting that human carelessness is the main factor in the occurrence of accidents.

Special attention was paid to ensuring the safety of children. After all, one wrong step

the child, parental inattention and carelessness can lead to tragedy. An MES officer urged adults not to leave children unattended under any circumstances, to monitor their leisure activities, to be role models, and to constantly remind them of safety rules at home and on the street.

It should be noted that visits by the leadership of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the MES to various districts of the region have become traditional. Such universal close attention to compliance with safety rules in various spheres of society's life is not surprising, as every person wishes to preserve their most important value – life.
